Well not a bad night's sleep, beer and food food does wonders. Up at five am, sleeping on a slight incline, I find myself slipping down hill on my cot. By 11pm I move to the floor of the tent, same thing but the rocks underneath keep me from sliding out the door so quickly. It this what Tom Sweeny is like, sliding to oblivion... reminds me more of being in the bunk on large seas, trying to stay in, after awhile you sorta sleep, but with your body holding on.

By 6, I move my cot out and next to the table by the lake. Nice view and I'm fast asleep. At second cup of coffee after some hot cereal. I do find a breakfast Cali bowl, but the little taste I have of it while steering in hot water, not palatable, taste like (blank, fill in with worst flavor here) and them worst.
Howard has taken a walk to the postal office to ship back things we don't need, turns out there is a lot we have but don't need. I've got some great music rolling thru my ears and a view of the lake.
We will stay one more night in the same place and get some riding around the lake and some hiking in today. I could sit here all day, quite and stunning views.
6am and all is well... about 14 days left on this epic viyage. Drove the loop and had to shoot the washed out culvert with miles of nice gravel roads. I suspect my telelever is about out of dampening fluid in the shock. Ate a giant pizza and back at camp resting up for a nice Hike or a nap...
Well a great hike that was. Simply stunning, cool air tall trees, a walk along the lake before up the hill. About 5 miles of trails and a morning ride down some gravel roads for an easy 36 mile day.
Tomorrow, back on the road. Long Beach via Westport Washington. Camp then breakfast in Estonia and up the Columbia River is a plan.
