https://www.relive.cc/view/vmqXwBMNxL6 Happy fathers day to one and all! Monterey to Cambria a mellow ride, mostly in andnout of the fields.  Mellow traffic and a nice riding day. 244 miles and includes about 35 miles up highway 1 to the turn around.  Spoke to construction guy and he thinks another year, maybe longer if Latina kicks in.

Sorry no Relive video today (sad face) It was cold last night... Great ride today, very cool and wet, but not really cold at all. (as if that makes any sense at all).  Left our camp Olema at a leisurly 830am, Howard was long since packed and fed when I woke at 645, but was kind enough to wait for me. Starting down the road, hey 1, was great a fun road not much traffic and about a half hour later every Porsche o. The planet drove by all in line. Old one, new ones, red ones, well, you get the photo, a boat load of them, or in Hawaiian, choke plenty went buy.  The road leveled out with some ski nicer lanes and shared by those on bikes and cars.  I don't think I would want to bike on the road.   We did stop at pigeon pt lighthouse.  A nice stop for sure. We make it to the Golden gate bridge, a bucket list ride I've always wanted to do on a motorcycle, hey it was fun.  We ziggy and zagged back down to the beach and followed a hw1 to our current location in ...

https://www.relive.cc/view/vXOd8YrpAkO Time flies and so do the miles.  Now at fort bragg for the night with a lunch at princess seafood.  Found a campsite near pount reyes, olema campground, should work for tomorrow.  Nice warm day today with cool breezes.  It is now a quarter to four and I'm on the beach listening to some great cat stevens typing this. This morning was great up and moving, I break camp and tell Howard I'm heading to the flats to watch for elk and have coffee.  Off I go, drinking great Nicholas coffee, but no elk.  Howard shows up and we start riding.  I joke, the elk must be hiding in the bushes.  Just as we get to the turn st the camp is a bakers dozen laying in the field with antlers waiving above the grass.  I stop as I'm laughing up a lung.  We stop for pictures and laugh.  Our drive is three hours and a very nice ride it is. Fun ride thru Hales Grove, tons of twisties and turns.  And then it pops o...

Not a high mileage day, but great exploring the seaside. https://www.relive.cc/view/vMq5eE71AQq Coos Beach, sunset campground rocks. It's a great place even if cold and foggy.   Breakfast at camp Roddy, and maybe 17 miles total today.  Beach tidepool cruising, hiking g to see the walruses hanging out, and more tidepooling.  Tomorrow we head down the coast to Elk Praire campground. About three  and a half hours away down the coast.  Plan is up and breakfast, the  depart just after 7am so as not to wake to many happy campers. Sleep tight!

Morning cruise to laundry https://www.relive.cc/view/v8qVQpyJm36 After laundry... https://www.relive.cc/view/vKv2YykQWoq Up and on to Coos bay via laundry, a battery for the fobs and Mo's for some chowder, per Bob. It's the last Mo's as we head south, so better grab it while we can.  It is actually super good, better then the fabled chowder we had off some street next to a bank and down an alley.  I munched on a shrimp salad sandwich melt with some great tasting bread wrapped around it and a bowl of chowder. Howard had something else, I don't remember as I was so focused on my kaukau... just before lunch is laundry at 37 st coin laundry.  Cool place, one guy walks in with a pistol on his side, no one blinks an eye, must be oregon.  Better then the guy outside of Portland, all  in black, side arm ted to his leg with personal safety on his shirt, hmm. Back to laundry, 2 cats hang out, one crawls on my lap while I use my phone and wants to be petted.  A...

Going in circles, Day 25... https://www.relive.cc/view/vMq5eW9PE8q  Going in circles, Day 25... Day 25 out of 35, so 10 to go. Today is June 11th and we are off to Coos bay!  Howard has found a site at sunset Beach or something like that.  I'm moving slow, and my promised 7am has turned to a 730am start for me.  I need a few minutes for coffee.  Howard has been up and ready to go for sometime, so I wave him off and he finally rolls. Now I can sit, type and drink coffee.  Good morning! I stop for gas and to make space on my windscreen for more bugs, I can't believe there are any bugs left in the country we haven't hit.  The ride is great, peaceful and pleasant.  Howard has stopped at a safeway when I stop at an overlook, we exchange texts with locations, he is at safeway a few miles behind in search of avocados 🥑.   I'm at an overlook called boiler bay state park overlook.  Nice views.  I meet a guy on a Harley driving...

120/6184 miles  https://www.relive.cc/view/vXOnxwADQBq (Mr squirell the poser) Good morning campers.  Wow, great looking day.  Up early 530am but we have taken a vote and decide to stay one more night here.  Very centralized for exploring more of the coast line, both north and south.   A cup of brown sugar instant hot cereal and some coffee sets the day to a great start. Did I have coffee?  All a bit of a blur at this point.  Off we go, Howard takes pount today so off we go exploring, headed south.  We get to Netarts as our turning point.   Along the way, Howard sets a nice pace, and we can actually enjoy the coastline. Arriving at tunnel Beach we spend some to exploring the beach. I see a couple with yellow boots getting thi gs out of the sand, turns out to be little craba they will boil in oil and eat shell and all.  There is a cave, but I'm enjoying the beach and sunshine.  Coast is cool but nice.  We head south an...

https://www.relive.cc/view/v7O9JDdn2Q6 Woke early, very early 430 or so.  Wet last night and wet as we break camp this morning, tents put away wet. Did I mention is was wet. Getting up and out of the tents brings on the mosquitos.  Mosquitos are all wearing slikers and don't mind the gentle rain as much as I do.  I suspect it is breakfast time for them, and they are famished after a humid wet night.  Alas just a gentle mist of rain.   Leaving camp behind us, we head south and circle west to Portland.  Stopping along the way for some coffee and breakfast burritos.  Just before breakfast I tell Howard I want to stop at the dams in Dalles, there are three of them.  Stopping I get off the bike and am approached by a worked and she sees me taking photos, she waves me over for some better photos.  Good fun, she texts me some great pics of the damage and mt hood, her coworker also dressed in hard hat, safety vest gloves and also covered ...

Day 22, June 8th https://www.relive.cc/view/vYvrVAXAdLv Off from camping at Rainier, a nice night, I went top less st 4k feet, we'll just the screen no tent covering to keep the bears and raccoons out.   Warm till 11, then a small light blanket then about 2am I dove into my sleeping bag.  Up early and on the road, we stop for coffee and simple food at a hiking inn just outside the park.  Good stuff.  I try to get us to the backside of Mount saint helens. But both roads are blocked due to snow and other road issues. First road about 15 miles in towards Couger, we need to turn around.  Super nice bike road for sure.  Then back to the sispus road and down to Mount Adam's, but alas when we ask at the conservation core camp off sysapus, they tell us the road is closed and back to the highway we go.  Now at a pretty cool dinner in Naches at about 2pm. We make camp at Yakima sportsman state park, not bad, for 30 bucks, you get mosquitos, homes wit...
