Well nothing like waking up at a sheraton hotel, bar, food, hot tub, and soft beds, not that my cot or the ground was amazingly soft... but the ac was perfect.

Up and out by 630am. We have tickets for the ferry so head to victoria And is only a few mi utes away. Well a few more when i take a wrong turn.

Apparently Canadians in victoria don't get up early, even the homeless where not up and about.  Parked near the south west side of harbor and wandered. Found a mcd's so turned away from that. Finally found a place with ono looking Kau kau, Bard and Banker.  I'm guessing an old bank building.  Super nice like an Irish pub, people already bellied up to the bar, screaming occasionally as soccer was on.  Our waitress who we found out also drives a peddle cart for tourist whe. Not up early for breakfast shift.  I have the eggs benadict, Howard eggs and bacon, with extra bacon, I like how this guy eats.  A couple cups of coffee and we set off before the meter maids arrive at 8am with fresh parking ticket books on the ready.

Our drive to the ferry terminal is a lot easier then before at horseshoe bay. We are first in line and get up to wander the beautiful gardens and enjoy the town a bit.   Roses are red, roses are white, yellow.. well you get the picture lots of roses and they smell wonderful.  Geese on the lawn, they sorta look like nene geese. After a bit we head back to the bikes.  One fellow has shown up on a gs800 shows up and we chat, eventually a few more bikes show up.  He and his friend talk about a planned trip to south America, not sure if im ready for that.

coming to America

We make it on to the ferry, nice as bikes load first.  A little daunting when you are required to block and tie your bikes down securely.  I guess it pays off as they are all upright on entry into the port.  Departing is such sweet sorrow, but nice to be riding in the Olympia peninsula.  We head to forks, and stop at a great campground called Mora campground, mahalos to Jodi actually our neighbor in volcano.  Arriving at camp just before 2pm we find all the sites are reserved. Tricky buggers, all sites have a reserved sign per the camp mom/dude, and suggest I talk to the ranger lady at 2pm.  Well between Howard old people card and my cc, we get a great b site for 12 bucks, what a deal.

We setup tents and I run to buy some fire wood.  It is now 430 and I'm sitting in front of a warm fire, Howard has gone on a walk about.
